3M™ Fused Silica Advanced Shell System WDS3 is a dry blend of fused silica and high performance additives that are used for investment casting backup slurries.

That's due to its ability to substantially shorten drain times — in turn shortening the investment casting process. Plus, since each foundry has different requirements, 3M fused silica advanced shell system WDS3 is engineered with built-in flexibility, and the slurry can be adjusted for specific application needs while simultaneously building robust shell thickness.
